Academic Year 2009 - 2010

• February 5, 2009 - Priority admission date for pre-Freshman scholarships
• February 15, 2009 - Students should mail their FAFSA or Renewal Application by this date to meet the priority funding deadline of March 15
• March 1, 2009- Students should submit their FAFSA electronically via FAFSA on the Web by this date to meet the priority funding deadline of March 15.
• March 15, 2009 - Priority application date for Returning Student Scholarships
• March 15, 2009 - Priority processing date for the FAFSA
• April 15, 2009 - Priority application date for the Undergraduate Cultural Diversity Tuition Waiver
• April 15, 2009 - Priority application date for new Transfer Student Scholarships
• Mid-May, 2009 - Academic year financial aid award letters will be processed on an on-going basis

Fall Semester 2009

• August 1 - Fall Semester Bookstore charging begins and runs through September 1.
• August 19 - Fall Semester student jobs are posted online at www.und.edu/employment
• August 24 - Fall Semester classes begin at 4:00pm
• September 2 - Classes added or dropped after this date will not be considered for financial aid eligibility
• September 8 - Financial aid in excess of the bill at the University will be sent to the student's UND Pride Card.  The student must go to www.UNDPrideCard.com to activate the card and select how they wish to receive the refund.
• September 10 - Last day to pay tuition and fees without a late payment penalty

  To avoid the late fee:

  • View your tuition and fee charges and any anticipated financial aid by clicking on the Account Inquiry link in Student Center on CampusConnection. Follow up on any Holds or Checklist items that may delay your financial aid disbursement. AND
  • Pay your bill in full (less any anticipated financial aid) on or before September 10, 2009. For Payment Options go to: www.und.edu/dept/studentaccounts/html/paymentoptions.htm OR
  • Set up a payment plan through TuitionPay. For additional information, go to: www.und.edu/dept/studentaccounts/html/ams.htm OR

• October 29 - Tuition and fee payment extensions granted through the Deferment Exception request expire.  All students must have tuition and fees for fall semester paid in full.

Spring Semester 2010

• January 6 - Spring Semester student jobs are posted online at www.und.edu/employment
• January 8 - Spring Semester Bookstore charging begins and runs through January 20.
• January 11 - Spring Semester classes begin at 4:00pm
• January 21 - Classes added or dropped after this date will not be considered for financial aid eligibility
• January 25 - Financial aid in excess of the bill at the University will be sent to the student's UND Pride Card.  The student must go to www.UNDPrideCard.com to activate the card and select how they wish to receive the refund.
• January 27 - Last day to pay tuition and fees without a late payment penalty
